Happy Birthday Mary,

Good morning to All. I truly honestly thought I replied to this already but do not see it. Yes, it was a cigarette. I can still see Mary Ann walking away from the Big Guy as he came into the Commons. Oh, flashback, the juke box. Micheal Jackson. When I was in La Crosse in August, I went over to Diane's house on 23rd street. My favorite Mother still lives in the same house on 22nd. Anywho, she was not home and I did talk to Jeff. I gave him several pictures I had from back in the day and included a note. The note told her it was now her responsibily to contact the gals in the pictures and get them all together to relive the memories. She did email me back. I do so hope she does this, always sooner than later. Diane, Kathy, Julie, Besl, Keaveney, Pitsch, Diane McC, Kay Jacobson, ............................

One of you could give her a call. Let me know how it goes. And always take a few pictures.

All this build up for a cigarette?  Was it lit?  What brand / flavor?  Was it a "left handed" roll?

Nancy Weigel (Engebretson)

Yes. Yes. Tareyton 100, KB's brand. No but there some floating around on the weekends.

Why I think the ex-bishop Burke would excommunicate Mary for smoking in school. Probably add 10 years in solitary confinement. But we don't have to worry about "Bishop Burke" anymore, the psycho has been shunned by the Pope for being an idiot.

Boy, after all that buildup to find out that Mary Ann had walked thru the halls with a cigarette, the banter sure has tapered off.

I agree, sorta hoped some more "remarks" continued, in any regard. But John, she was only weeding off in the Commons, not down the hall. Come on, Sister Mary Ann S would not be that bold.

Are we the select few that know how to post on this forum? I'm with you Nancy, it has been entertaining reading the remarks from our classmates. I remember the dare, the cigarette and Father. That wasn't the the most daring act I got away with as a teenager envolving Aquinas. Rose Servais would remember our climb up to the AV room. Did we have this planned or did someone open the window for us?

Rose Servais (Tydrich)

That was an adventer.  I can still remember how fast my heart was beating.

We always left the window in room 106 open if we needed to sneek into a dance or whatever mischief. Fitzy

Well then Mary Ann, what was the purpose of the "sneaking" into the AV room for?  Who might you have been rendezvousing with?

Mary Ann Sauer (Paul)

Raise your hand if you have ever entered the school through window 106!!! Rose do you remember how many of us there were that night?

Back then, my thought process was to get out of school, not sneak into school.  Of course back then we probably wouldn't have been charged with "breaking and entering".  We would have been turned over to Sister Celine and or our parents for punishment OR maybe Jack Nockels for a thoughtful 2 thou.

In response to Mary's comments and if memroy serves me right, because we were only sophmores, going into our Junior year.  I believe it was 3 upper classmen and us.  I prever to not mention names.   Also the window on rm 106 was not open.  I'm sure we checked that first.

Truthfully, I had no knowledge of such shenanigans. I too, was focussed on getting out. Not getting in.wink

When I was in La Crosse in August for my favorite Mother's 90th  BD, I did drive by A-Q-U-I-N-A-S. A different world. Did anyone see the interview with Jean and  Ann Maline on the local news? Anywho, I am come back soon to do a few things. I am also going out to Losey Blvd to talk to KB and my other relatives. Enjoy your day.

To all concerned.

The statute of limitations are up on those, as Paul Pierce would say, Shenanigans. Rest easy.

I'm sure glad that Lt. Dan is "running interference" for all our youthful indecretions.  We don't want to have some legal problems crop up at this time of our lives..  Of course, Ron could be our legal representative if something does become known that doesn't have a statue of limitations on it.

Good morning, I saw Lt. Dan Marcou quoted in the Tampa Bay Times newspaper today concerning the mass shooting in Orlando.  Dan, you bring up a good point about "paying attention and be prepared to react" or as the Boy Scout motto says "Be Prepared".  If only more folks would live this way, we might have fewer crimes committed in our nation's cities.

It was great to see one of our classmates being quoted in a national pubilcation, to bad it had to be connected with such a terrible tragedy.

Keep up the good work Dan, you make Aquinas proud!

Thanks John.

Dan, it was good seeing you and everyone else Saturday evening. I particularly enjoyed our conversation about our "mutual interests". Stay safe.

It was great to see you and everyone else as well. I believe I got to catch up with everyone.  It was a nice gathering and I was almost the "last dog hung."

Have a great summer.

Hi Dan,

It was good to see you and all those who attended saturday at Boot Hill.  I believe that there where at least "5"  last dogs that night!  No names will be mentioned.
