Well dang it! So sorry to hear about Mike's passing! I remember Mike being a gentle man who loved to laugh!

I'm sure he continued that thru his whole life! God Bless you Mike!

I attended school with Mike from 1st grade to graduation from Aquinas.  I had the pleasure of working with him on the La Crosse Police Department.  He was lovingly called "The Puck," by everyone at the PD. He was a kind and caring police officer with a disarming smile.  We went through some serious situations together and had a lot of laughs together as well.  I can say as an officer and an investigator he represented the class of 71 well. Mike cherished his family and will be missed by them and all who knew him.

May God embrace him and give him wings.

Thanks for sharing Dan! I never knew he was one of La Crosse's finest.

Our freshman year at Aquinas, Mike was the first classmate to invite me to "hang out " with him in La Crosse/on the north side. That meant so much to me, being from Onalaska and somewhat of an outsider. We remained friends thereafter. Mike was kind hearted and genuine. May he rest in eternal peace.....

I had the pleasure of knowing MIke from 1st grade on; as well as his folks who were great people. He was a gentle guy and a good friend who liked to laugh. I'm sure he got his civic duty mindedness from his grandfather and his father. Hickey Park on the norhtside is named after them.
